In his career prior to founding Runitec, which included jobs in the wind turbine industry, Ulrik Nielsen often encountered problems with the lifting equipment installed in wind turbines. This inspired him to develop and manufacture a range of service cranes for the wind turbine industry.

These efforts have led to the design of three types of cranes, including an emergency crane that can climb up an existing wire in the event of power outages or the malfunction of an existing crane.

All of these cranes were developed in collaboration with the wind turbine manufacturers and their service engineers.
